Evening Oils and Serums

Night is the time when the body recovers from the challenges of the day. While day creams provide moisture and shield skin from sun damage, night creams
and oils target skin nutrition and wrinkle prevention. If you want to nurture your skin at night, give it more nutrients and well-chosen evening oils for fabulous
results.

3-in-1 Lazy Blend

What could be better than a makeup remover that is also a toner and an anti-aging night oil all in one bottle? This formula softens the skin and nourishes it. While the composition of jojoba oil is very close to that of the skin’s own lipids and it doesn’t clog pores, wheat germ oil is rich in vitamins and minerals that prevent aging. Chamomile tea and rose water are extremely skin friendly and help, alongside glycerin, balance moisture levels. Keep this oilwater mix handy, especially when you have little time and energy left at the end of the day.

INGREDIENTS
2 ounces (60 ml) rose water
1 tablespoon almond oil
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 ounce (30 ml) chamomile tea (at room temperature) 1 teaspoon glycerin
5 drops vitamin E oil
Note: You can substitute witch hazel for rose water in case of oily skin.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix the above ingredients, adding one at a time. Shake well, and then transfer
to a spray bottle.
2. Shake vigorously to disperse oil droplets before spraying onto a cotton disc or ball. Wipe the face and neck, repeating if necessary to remove makeup
completely.
3. You do not need to rinse or follow with a toner or night oil, because this
formula does it all.
4. Store the bottle in a cool place away from sunlight and heat.

Precious Night Oil

Rosehip oil is a great anti-aging oil, rich in GLA, LA, and other essential fatty acids, as well as vitamin A and E. Together with
essential oils, which impart a pleasant scent, those ingredients provide this
simple formula with most of what skin needs to be adequately nurtured. Prepare
this formula to help mature skin fight wrinkles.

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon rosehip oil
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
5 drops gardenia essential oil (or other) 10 drops (0.5 ml) vitamin E oil

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix all the above ingredients and transfer to an amber bottle with a dropper.
2. After removing all makeup traces, and while skin is still moist from cleansing,
spread 2–3 drops all over your face and neck every night. Store away from
heat and direct sunlight.

Night Magic Potion

This “potion” indeed works like magic. It fights wrinkles, nourishes skin, and leaves a velvety touch in the morning. While avocado oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, evening primrose oil is a powerful anti-aging ingredient that fights wrinkles. Their efficacy is made
complete with the addition of pomegranate seed oil, which provides a surge of antioxidants that protect from sun damage and promote youthful-looking skin. Grapefruit or tangerine essential oil transforms the application of this potion into a pleasurable moment. The essential oils may be photosensitizing, however, so
daily use of sunblock is strongly recommended.

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 tablespoon evening primrose oil 1 tablespoon pomegranate seed oil 1
tablespoon almond oil
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
10 drops (0.5 ml) essential oil of your choice (grapefruit, tangerine, or
other)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix the above ingredients in their listed order and transfer to a glass bottle
with a dropper.
2. Make sure your face is clean, with no makeup residue, and still moist after
cleansing or washing. Rub a few drops of this potion between your palms and
pat your face and neck. Do not rinse.
3. Use every evening at bedtime. Store the bottle away from heat and light.

Anti-Aging Rosehip Balm

This powerful formula combines the highly prized anti-aging effects of rosehip oil with the moisture-locking properties of
beeswax. Shea butter is also a key player in this formula, since it is a powerful
skin-softening agent. Not intended for daily routine, this balm is especially
recommended for dry and mature skin, when an SOS rescue is needed, such as to
counteract cold weather aggression on skin.

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon grated unrefined, unbleached beeswax 1 ounce (30 ml) shea
butter
2 ounces (60 ml) almond oil
20 drops (1 ml) vitamin E
1 tablespoon rosehip oil
10 drops (0.5 ml) rose or geranium essential oil

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Melt the beeswax and shea butter in a double boiler. Then add the almond oil
and vitamin E. Turn off the heat and then add the rosehip oil. Do not overheat
the rosehip oil to preserve its properties. Add the essential oil last.
2. Stir continuously until the mixture cools to room temperature. Transfer to a
glass jar or a tin box and leave in a cool place to solidify. Cover with a lid
when the balm is completely cool.
3. Apply with the fingertips to a well-cleansed face and neck every evening. Dab around the eye area without pulling the skin. You do not need to rinse. Enjoy
a rejuvenated, silky soft skin in the morning.
4. Please note that this formula is not recommended for prolonged use because
beeswax is considered comedogenic and can clog pores.

Sensitive Skin Anti-Aging Serum

This unscented oily serum is especially formulated for intolerant skin; it’s suitable for most skin types, however, and is a powerful moisturizer, packed with antioxidants. Sesame oil is a skin-friendly oil, well-tolerated by most skin types, even the most sensitive ones; it contains
sesamol, which has antioxidant properties, as well as unsaturated essential fatty
acids and many minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and iron. Grape seed oil is also a strong source of antioxidants and is a dry oil that absorbs quickly. This
formula is kept simple by calling for ingredients that can be found in most grocery stores.

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon grape seed oil
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
5 drops vitamin E oil

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pour the oils into a glass bottle with a dropper, finishing with the vitamin E
drops.
2. Close tightly and shake to blend the oils.
3. In the evening, after cleansing, and while the face is still moist, apply 2–3
drops to your hands, rub them together, and massage this serum onto your
face and neck.
